Since I really never have anything interesting to say, I'm just gonna start going off on
WACKY tangents in these journal things. Hope you like contemplation, cause there's going to ba a ton of that kind of thing all up in here, yo!
So I was reading
the second best web comic of all time and the answer to the question being presented seemed to be pretty obvious. The reason bad things happen to good people is Newton's third law of motion- For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. See, every time something good happens to a good person, something bad has to happen to another good person at the exact same time, or else everything would just be completely thrown out of balance, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!
For example, say Jesus is applying for a job. He's a good person, right? But then Chuck Norris is also applying for the exact same job. Obviously, both of them are good people, but Chuck is the most qualified for the job. Thus, Jesus doesn't get the job, so he goes into some sort of downward spiral and ends up blaming the universe or whatever for his misfortunes. If they had both gotten the job it just wouldn't have worked out, so the sacrifice had to be made for the better, and bad things happened to good people. The world keeps on turning one more day.
That isn't to say that your misfortunes are always Chuck Norris' fault. People are lazy creatures, and they will almost never accomplish everything they could possibly want, so when they don't do whatever they have their minds set to, they tend to assume that it was a bad thing and blame everything else for their lack of motivation and/or intelligence.
(Please don't take offence at that last paragraph, it's a blanket statement that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone. It's mostly just based on personal experience.)
And that will be the end of my transgressions, for now. I'm currently working on all of 5 different things at once, so they will probably all come out at the same time. Better watch out, they're gonna be pretty darn mind blowing.
